Benny Friedman played eight seasons in the NFL and earned All-NFL honors four times.

Friedman revolutionized the art of the forward pass in the 1920s and led the league in touchdown passes in each of his first four seasons in the NFL.

Although mostly known for his passing abilities, Friedman could also run and kick the ball better than his predecessors.

Although official statistcs were not kept during the early part of Benny's career, it is known that he completed half of his passing attempts when only 35 percent was considered a fine performance.

A knee-injury in 1931 slowed Benny's productivity but he still managed to earn third-team All-NFL honors that year and second-team All-NFL honors in 1933.

Friedman held the record for career touchdown passes with 66 when he retired.

Friedman's photo appeared on the cover of game programs often. His future team, the New York Giants, placed him on the cover during his rookie season with the Cleveland Bulldogs.
